Meet Our Corporate Staff
Ben Ferguson- President
Ben Ferguson serves as the President of Personnel Placements, LLC. Ben’s vision and focus as a business leader enable him to lead Personnel Placements in a positive and success-driven direction. He has proven himself to be a management professional with demonstrated success in operations, finance, human resources and sales.
Promoted to the position of President by the Board of Directors in August of 2009, Ben has been employed with Personnel Placements since 2005. Before serving as President, Ben held the position of Vice President. During his VP tenure, Personnel Placements established a state of the art training center, paperless Human Resource system and Industrial Video Services. Under Ben’s leadership, Personnel Placements received the Stepping Stone Award from the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce recognizing business excellence. The Stepping Stone Award is the second highest award given by the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to working for Personnel Placements, Ben served as an Operational Consultant with Murray Guard, Inc and an intern for KCM Asset Management in Deland, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a BS in Business Administration. He received his Masters of Business Administration from Stetson University.
Ben is the Co-Founder and CEO of theCO. theCO provides West Tennesseans the tools, mentors, education, and access to funding needed to transform great ideas into successful companies. Ben co-founded the JYP (Jackson Young Professional) and is an active community volunteer serving on several committees and boards including Hands Up!, the Kirkland Cancer Center, First State Bank, and the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. Ben, his wife Holly, and their daughters Elena and Holland are members of Northside United Methodist Church and proud to call Jackson home.
Amy Scarbrough- Executive Vice-President
Amy Scarbrough has been with Personnel Placements since 2001 and has served as the Executive Vice-President since 2009. While at PPL, Amy has earned the business of both large and small clients with her consultative sales approach. Amy’s knowledge, dedication, and attention to detail continue to place PPL as the staffing provider of choice in Jackson, TN. Amy is responsible for developing and implementing PPL marketing plans as well as managing the sales effort in all PPL markets.
Amy is a Certified Staffing Professional and was the Personnel Placements Employee of the Year in 2007. She has designed and implemented several successful marketing campaigns and also managed the implementation of the PPL contact management system.
Amy is a graduate of Leadership Jackson and enjoys spending time with her husband Lynn and four children.
Tim Melugin - Vice President Operations
Tim Melugin started at PPL as an On-site Manager in 2008 and since March of 2012 has served as the Vice-President of Operations. Tim has taken ownership as PPL’s worker’s compensation representative since 2009. His main focuses include being involved in human resource related issues for PPL, setting up and supporting new branches and clients, and continuing to remain a main contact and representative for several clients.
Tim’s dedication to his job comes with a positive attitude and excellent customer service. His previous experience in Retail Management for 27 years prepared him to always be ready to tackle new tasks and to quickly resolve any issues that may occur.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his best friend and wife Kathy and their two grandchildren. They attend Love and Truth Church in Jackson, TN.
